Privacy policy

Introduction

GoCloset is a personal wardrobe management app. This privacy policy describes how the app handles your data, photos, and preferences.

Your privacy is important to us. We don't sell or share your wardrobe data with third parties.

Data we collect

• Photos of your clothing items taken with your camera or selected from your photo library
• Item details you enter (name, brand, color, category, size, price, etc.)
• Outfits you create and outfit metadata (occasion, notes, wear count)
• Profile information you provide (name, measurements, style preferences)
• Usage data (item wear counts, favorite items, laundry tracking)

Storage

• All data is stored locally on your device using Core Data (Apple's built-in database)
• Photos are stored as compressed image data to save storage space
• No data is sent to external servers unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync or share content to the community
• You can delete the app at any time to remove all local data

iCloud sync (Premium feature)

• If you enable iCloud sync, your wardrobe data is backed up to your private iCloud account
• iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit framework and follows Apple's privacy policies
• Only you can access your synced data through devices signed into the same iCloud account
• We do not have access to your iCloud data or encryption keys

AI features (Premium)

• AI styling recommendations are generated using on-device Vision framework and weather APIs
• Background removal uses Apple's Vision framework and runs entirely on your device
• Virtual try-on uses ARKit and RealityKit, processing images locally
• No photos or personal data are sent to third-party AI services

Third parties

• Weather data is fetched from Apple's WeatherKit service using your location (requires location permission)
• In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple and follow their privacy policies
• If you share outfits to the community, only the data you choose to share is made public
• We use Apple's StoreKit for purchase management and don't have access to payment information
